As the managing Shareholder of RatnerPrestia’s Wilmington Office and former Practice Area Manager for RatnerPrestia’s Trademark Practice, Rex has responsibility for several thousand foreign and domestic marks from the portfolios of clients large and small. Rex devotes a significant percentage of his time to the various aspects of trademark practice, including prosecuting domestic and international trademark registrations, client counseling (including coordination of trademark searches and providing trademark “right-to-register” and “right-touse” opinions), litigation, and inter partes matters. 

Rex’s overall approach to trademark portfolio management is to provide thorough and insightful guidance that allows clients can make informed decisions to maximize the value of their portfolios, with minimal time invested from their busy schedules. Rex prides himself on taking the time to understand the businesses of his clients and providing practical and useful advice that reflects his clients’ overall strategic objectives. His client-focused approach earned Rex recognition as the Delaware recipient of the Client Choice Award for “Intellectual Property – Trademarks” in 2014 and 2015.
