Andrew J. Koopman – Litigation Expertise
As a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, Mr. Koopman’s practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including the development of strategy, investigation of claims, preparation of pleading, motions, and briefs, management of discovery, and legal and factual research. Mr. Koopman has litigated cases across the country, including in Federal Courts in Delaware, Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
Before joining RatnerPrestia, Mr. Koopman earned his Juris Doctorate from Temple University Beasley School of Law. At Temple, he was a member of Temple’s Intellectual Property Moot Court team, on which he competed in the Giles S. Rich Moot Court Competition. Mr. Koopman’s work with the moot court team helped him to become a superior advocate for his clients, and enabled him to hone his skills in the areas of persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy.
Since joining RatnerPrestia, Mr. Koopman’s has worked on matters in all areas of intellectual property, and dealt with a broad range of technologies, including electronics, semiconductors, software, medical devices, optical devices, fluidic devices, and biomechanical devices. Mr. Koopman has also written multiple papers relating on litigation-related topics, including post-grant procedures before the USPTO.
