RP CEO Jonathan H. Spadt to Present at Penn State University on Leadership and Strategies for Career Success
Philadelphia, PA | April 2022 – On April 8, 2022, Jonathan Spadt will discuss career development with Chemical Engineering undergraduates at Penn State University’s College of Engineering. He will share observations on leadership and career evolution, using as a basis his own journey from chemical engineer, to intellectual property lawyer, to trusted legal counselor, CEO and global innovation policy advocate. Spadt remarked, “The opportunities for career development after gaining a strong foundation in the fundamentals of chemical engineering are practically endless. I want to thank Dr. Alger for inviting me to speak to these outstanding students and share my experiences since graduating from Penn State in 1993.” Dr. Monty Alger, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Past President of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, has carefully developed this annual series of lectures into an exploration of careers based in chemical engineering which may not seem traditional to most engineers early in their careers. The idea that engineering careers are not linear, and require constantly evolving new skill sets, is one which should be recognized by young professionals early in their careers, and Spadt’s remarks are intended to contribute to this realization.
