Jonathan Spadt Presents at AIPLA’s Annual Meeting

Spadt, addressed attendees of the American Intellectual Property Law’s Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on October 20, 2011. Spadt was a speaker on a panel of experts addressing the recently enacted patent reform legislation known as the America Invents Act. Joining Spadt on the panel were Nicholas Godici, of Birch, Stewart, Kolasch and Birch, and former Commissioner for Patents and Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Vince Garlock, Deputy Executive Director of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and Janet Gongola, the Patent Reform Coordinator in the Office of the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property. The panel discussed the many issues facing the USPTO, its stakeholders, and various professional organizations in implementing the new law.
