Valley Forge, Pa., January 2010 –  The Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association hosted their CLE Program, “Criminal and Civil Aspects of Trade Secret Law” on January 21, 2010 at the offices of Woodcock Washburn in Philadelphia, PA.
 
Stanley Weinberg, RatnerPrestia attorney, organized and moderated the program.  Panelists were Richard Goldberg, Thomas A. Bergstrom and Eric Sitarchuk.  The panel discussed federal criminal trade secret statutes and litigation from the government and defense perspective and civil trade secret litigation from the plaintiff’s and defendant’s perspectives.  The panel also discussed how parallel civil and criminal investigations might affect each others’ litigation strategy, including Fifth Amendment issues.
