Senior Level Attorney

Perhaps you are an experienced attorney or agent contemplating an important career decision. We're always looking for highly qualified, senior-level candidates who have excelled throughout their careers and who want . . .

to contribute to the further growth of a dynamic, broad-based, intellectual property law firm;

the opportunity to continue their career where experience and new ideas are appreciated; and

a life.

If so, we invite you to consider the information provided below as well as the remainder of our web site, and learn why many others before you have chosen to bring their talents to RatnerPrestia following success elsewhere.

As our web site informs, we have offices in both Valley Forge and Allentown, Pennsylvania, and in Wilmington, Delaware, giving you some flexibility in location. We also encourage you to review the representative list of our clients. Our practice spans all technologies and encompasses all forms of intellectual property; experienced lateral hires quickly become integral to one or more of our various practice groups.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Our compensation package is competitive. Consistent with our firm culture and our concern for quality of life, compensation may be based on a particularized set of goals tailored to meet the needs of both you and the firm. We encourage marketing opportunities and administrative involvement.

More specifically, the firm's benefit package includes:

  • medical insurance
  • dental insurance
  • disability insurance
  • life insurance
  • Section 125 plan
  • a generous 401(k) plan
  • paid state bar membership for your resident state of practice

"After 22 successful years at ITT, I decided to take advantage of their early retirement package. As part of my decision-making process, I looked around to find just the right 'of counsel' arrangement with a law firm. I talked to several large NYC firms that I knew well and to RatnerPrestia, a Philadelphia area firm with thirty-plus lawyers that I also knew well.

After all the talk, I weighed my options and decided on RatnerPrestia.

The firm is not so large that I'm lost -- I make a difference. It does not carry the overheads of large NYC firms and their high billing rates. I felt that with RatnerPrestia's billing structure, it would be easier to build a good practice. The skills of RatnerPrestia's incumbent lawyers allowed me to build a strong practice including patent prosecution, trademark portfolio management, litigation, and transactional work. My clients receive timely first rate service at reasonable prices. They know they are important to the firm and they actually know the lawyers doing the work. We are building strong relationships.

On top of all that, the Philadelphia area is a great place to live. I made the right choice."
