Mr. Ashery has been an intellectual property attorney since 1990. His practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property law including patent procurement, trademark procurement, copyright counseling, and pre-litigation activities.  Mr. Ashery has experience with a wide variety of clients ranging from well-established multi-billion dollar corporations to individual inventors.

 

Mr. Ashery is well versed in the some of the more esoteric aspects of U.S. Patent and Trademark Office practice, including appeals, oral hearings before the Board of Appeals and Interferences, reissues, reexaminations, and interferences. 

 

Mr. Ashery has lectured extensively on various aspects of patent procurement.  He has presented repeatedly for the American Intellectual Property Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He has also lectured throughout Japan and China.

 

Mr. Ashery has an extensive engineering background which enables him to achieve the granting of patent rights in many technical areas. In particular, he is comfortable working with the following technologies: computer architecture, image processing (regular and 3D),  cryptography, operating systems, compilers, combinatorics, semiconductor fabrication and design, discreet design, networks, database management, telecommunications as well as other areas related to computer, electrical and systems engineering.

 

Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Ashery was a systems engineer with RCA Government Systems in Camden, New Jersey.
